Then take part in the life-changing experiences that are offered in the Legacy Launchers on Friday and Saturday. Afterwards, take a minute to meet the candidates campaigning for positions on the 2008-2009 State Executive Council during the "MEET THE CANDIDATES" Campaign Rally.

Then, following dinner Saturday evening, join the State Executive Council at the Dollar Dance by donating $1 at the door. And don't miss the "Under The Spotlight" dance, during the Dollar Dance. In this event, a few lucky individuals chosen at random, who purchased raffle tickets at Courtesy Corps, will have the chance to dance with a current State Officer! All proceeds from the Dollar Dance and the "Under The Spotlight" dance will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

This year's SLC will be the most memorable yet! Make sure to prepare for an exciting weekend. We look forward to seeing you all there!

State Officer Candidates

I would like to wish all State Officer Candidates good luck while running for office at the State Conference.....coming up very soon!! A current state officer will soon be in touch with you, but I encourage you not to wait to get your questions answered. Your state officers would be happy to give you further information or any advice, words of wisdom, and helpful hints needed. I'm sure you are all very busy preparing for states. It will be a stressful and nerve-racking time, but also a very rewarding experience! Please do not hesitate to contact the State Executive Council officers. Our contact information can be found under the "State Executive Council" link. Also, make sure to check out the new SLC site for information to help you further prepare for the big conference.

Regional Updates

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone had a fun time at their Regional Conference. I had the opportunity to attend and help out with Region 10 and Region 1's conferences. This was Region 10's first year ever having a conference and things went great! Competitions ran smoothly and everyone had a great time. Southwestern Michigan College helped out a lot and provided fun things to do. Region 1 went smoothly as usual and Davenport again was a huge help to this. The regional advisors from both regions deserve extreme credit for this as well. I can't wait to see everyone at the State Leadership Conference! Please see the two posts below this. They are great opportunities for people to take advantage of :)
